Visual Studio Team System 2010 has reached an important milestone with the Beta 1 release. Enhanced features provide even more capabilities for users and allows for an improved and more productive user experience. Microsoft® Silverlight™ is a cross-browser, cross-platform, and cross-device plug-in for delivering the next generation of media experiences and rich interactive applications for the Web. Team Foundation Server is at the center of Microsoft's Application LifeCycle Management tooling, and provides robust services to enable collaboration on software delivery for all members of the project team. From Business Stakeholders and Project Managers, to Developers and Testers, Team Foundation Server provides a central hub that allows users to connect and collaborate using their favorite tooling. This session will drill into the core features of Team Foundation Server and how they work together to provide a tight, end-to-end delivery experience.

From managing the all up project, to delivering high quality artifacts, the process of software development is complex. In this session, we will focus on using capabilities of Team Foundation Server to allow all members of the project team to communicate effectively, manage deliverables effectively, and track changes, using Work Item Tracking.

Designing database schemas and managing change on relational databases is a complex task that often involves the use of custom tools, by users with very deep, domain-specific skills. Often, the inequities in the richness of tooling and integration can cause organizations to struggle in delivering on complex solutions. Microsoft BizTalk Server is used to connect systems both inside and across organizations. This includes exchanging data and orchestrating business processes which require multiple systems. BizTalk-based applications are .NET-based applications, and are built on .NET and with Visual Studio.

Smart Client applications are applications that can be delivered over standard web protocols, automatically update, provide rich client functionality, and optionally provide rich connected and disconnected behaviors. Many organizations are embracing Smart Client application approaches instead of web client applications, as Smart Client applications generally provide a rich user experience, are usable in many different connectivity environments, and are generally considered easy to develop.

There are many approaches to building .NET-based Smart Client applications, and this webcast will focus on the approaches to building great Smart Client applications using the capabilities found in Visual Studio Team System 2008.

Products and technologies adoption of SharePoint 2007 has grown significantly since its introduction, and is a popular platform for building internal and external web applications, since it provides an application server environment and framework for building solutions that meet the complex needs of a wide variety of organizations. Because of its central role, it becomes imperative to load test implementations of SharePoint to ensure they meet the scale and performance needs of the organization, particularly with customizations.

This webcast will focus on leveraging Visual Studio 2008 Tester Edition to scale SharePoint 2007-based sites/applications.
